Your book this month
Today
This month, so far
K0
This is your profit: what came in, minus what went out.
Your book is open. Write down one thing and the picture starts.
No adverts · Works without network · Your figures stay on your phone
Nothing written down today yet. One entry now keeps the whole month true — even K40 of piece work.
Put it on your phone
Open it with one tap, like your other apps. It still works where there is no network.
More about this month’s money
The profit you are aiming for
Check your cash against the book
Type the money that is really in your pocket. If the app expected a different amount, one entry is missing or was written twice — nothing is lost, you just fix it.
What you spent it on
Biggest first. This is where your money went this month.

Write it down
Every kwacha counts — especially the small ones. K40 of piece work, written down, is K40 you can account for at the end of the month.
My records
Field size
One number the whole book depends on. Walk the boundary and the phone works out the hectares — or type the sides if the field is a rectangle.
A rectangle, measured with a tape or paced out. Length and width in metres.
Save this field
Your fields
How accurate is a walked boundary?
A phone GPS is usually good to 3–10 m in open ground and worse under trees or beside a tin roof. That is why the result carries an uncertainty: the boundary line could be that far out, in either direction, so the area can be out by roughly the perimeter times that distance.
For a one-hectare field (100 m × 100 m) walked with ±5 m, that is about ±0.2 ha — twenty per cent. For a ten-hectare field the same GPS gives about ±2 ha, or two per cent: the same error matters far less on a bigger field. Walk the edge slowly, stop at each corner for two seconds, and keep away from trees and walls. If the shape is a true rectangle and you have a tape, the typed method will beat the walk.
The area is computed on the WGS84 ellipsoid, not on a flat map, so it stays right at Zambia's latitude. Distances are geodesic.
Statement
One page for a lender or a co-op: what came in, what went out, and how much land it came from.
Officer mode
A camp diary that writes its own monthly return. Works with no signal.
Student exercises
Six problems a real farm asks. Work them out, then see the working.
Group book
A co-operative register and produce ledger, kept on one phone and printable for a buyer.
Privacy and your data
What the app holds, where it sits, and how to get rid of it.
If you never create an account
Nothing leaves your phone. Your records, measured fields and settings are stored in this browser only. We do not know who you are, and there is nothing on a server to delete.
The app counts that a visit happened — a random number kept on the phone, no name, no location, no content. A guest book older than seven days is flagged on the home screen so it can be exported before it is lost with the phone.
If you create an account
We hold four things: your email address, your phone number, a hashed password (never the password itself), and a copy of your book so it can be restored on another phone. Nothing else — no location history, no contacts, no photographs.
Where it is kept
On your phone first, always. If you are signed in, a copy is also stored in a Cloudflare database. Cloudflare operates a global network, so that copy may sit outside Zambia. This is disclosed rather than hidden, and it is the one item that a Zambian public-sector partner would require us to change.
How long
An account and its book are kept until you delete them. There is no expiry. Guest records stay on the phone until you clear them or the browser does.
Your rights
You can export everything as a JSON file from My records, download your entries as a CSV, and delete the account from the account page — which removes the person, the book, the sessions and the download log from the server in one action. The copy on your phone stays until you clear it, because deleting your only record by accident would be worse.
Who can see it
Nobody at CS AgriHub reads individual books. The register shows counts — how many phones opened the app, how many started, how many downloaded — never names, entries or amounts. Aggregate figures are only ever published in groups large enough that no individual can be identified.
If something goes wrong
A personal-data breach would be reported to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner within 24 hours of being discovered, and to affected account holders without undue delay.
Schools and students
Student exercises run entirely on the device and need no account. A teacher using the app with a class does not create records for pupils.
Contact
Questions, corrections or a deletion request: use the contact address published on the app's About page, or the account page if you have one.
This notice describes what the software actually does today. It is written to be read, not to protect a lawyer. Where the law requires more — registration as a data controller, a named officer, a Zambian hosting arrangement — those are listed in the sponsorship case as work still to be done.
Ask for help
Message or call your extension agent. A reply should reach you within five days.
My plan
Three questions, answered in order: what am I aiming for, what has actually happened, and what would one change do.
The goal
What profit you want, and by when. One figure and one date — nothing else.
The truth so far
Only what you have written down. No guessing, no rounding up.
Your profit, worked out
What you can change
Move one number and watch the profit move. Nothing here is saved — it is only for thinking.
The numbers behind it
Prices and your bag count. Everything above is worked out from these.
Prices you can trust
The app uses these prices when it works things out. Change any of them as soon as you know today's price.
A price without a date is only a guess. Check it before you sell.
Your bags this season
Used to work out what one bag costs you, and how many bags the profit sum is spread over.
Looking ahead
What this season's harvest could be worth. A guess, not a promise.
Maize reference: FRA 2026 floor K347 per 50 kg bag. Open-market offers have been around K220 — check today.
Nothing on this page changes your records. The goal is a hope, the truth is arithmetic, and the rest is a question you are allowed to ask more than once.
The other things that matter
Money owed in either direction, what you have not sold, the price list, a document for the bank, and the settings behind the book.
How your book works
What this page is telling you
- Came in
- Every kwacha you received this month — maize sold, milk, a wage, a loan.
- Went out
- Every kwacha you paid — fertilizer, transport, piece work, water, even K40.
- Profit
- What came in, less what went out. That is what the farm really earned you. If the number has a minus in front of it, you lost money this month.
To begin, do these three things:
- Count the cash in your pocket and type it in the box below.
- Write down one thing you paid for — tap Add, then the amount.
- Say how much profit you want this month, so the app has a mark to judge you against.
An entry takes about twenty seconds. Nothing is sent anywhere — it stays on this phone.
What you own, less what you owe
Cash in your hand, plus what your unsold harvest is worth, plus money people owe you — then take away what you owe others. The answer is what is truly yours today.

Language
The words on this site, in the language you read best. Your records are not changed.
Who owes you
What you have not sold
Bags you have not sold, and inputs you have not used. They are worth money, but they are not cash in your hand.
Food you kept at home
Maize or other food you ate at home instead of selling. It still counts as something you gained.

Suggestions and comments
Feel free to comment. What should be added, what confused you, what would help you most?
Who is writing? Optional, and it helps us read the note in context.
1 means it needs work. 5 means it is very good.
For example: “I want a similar website for a bakery business”, “add a section for chickens”, “show it in Bemba”. Your note goes to the owner's records and is never published.

Categories
Your data lives on this device. Back it up before changing phone.
Show it to a lender
One document on the CS AgriHub letterhead — your name, phone and email, what came in, what went out, your real profit, and what you own today. A bank, a co-operative or a buyer will accept it.
Print sends it straight to a printer. Save as PDF keeps the file on this phone, so you can send it on WhatsApp or take it to a bank. Both are the same one-page document.
What the words mean
- Profit
- What is left after you take out everything you spent.
- Loss
- You spent more than you received. It is not a failure — it is normal before a harvest.
- Received
- Money that came to you.
- Spent
- Money that left you.
- What you have
- Cash in your hand, plus things you have not sold, plus money people owe you, minus money you owe.
- Things you have not sold
- Bags and inputs still with you. Worth money, but not cash in your hand.
- Who owes who
- Money between you and another person, in either direction.
- Lowest price
- The price a bag must reach so that you do not lose money.
- Target
- The amount you want to keep, and the date you want it by.

Get the app, pass it on
Put it on the home screen once, send it to the person who needs it, and know exactly what it does with your figures.
Put it on the home screen
Opens with one tap, works with no network, and keeps your book on this phone.
If the button does nothing
Installation is done by your browser, not by this page. Nothing comes from an app shop, and it can be removed like any other app.
Send it to someone
One link opens the same app — same calculator, same guide, same language choices. Nothing to sign up for at the other end.
Sending it on WhatsApp? Send the plain link — a screenshot cannot be installed or opened.
What to know before you rely on it
- It works with no networkAfter the first visit the pages you use are kept on the phone. The calculator, the guide and your records keep working in a field with no signal.
- Your figures stay on this phoneThere is no account and no cloud copy. The app cannot recover a book that was never backed up — so back up before you change or lose the phone.
- Every link keeps its own bookThe address is the book. Open a different address and you are looking at a different, empty book.
- Print it, or save it for a lenderThe one-page statement on the More tab prints, or saves as a PDF you can send on WhatsApp.
- Seven languagesEnglish, Icibemba, Chinyanja, Chitonga, Silozi, Chilunda, Luvale and Kikaonde — change it any time without touching your records.
- Free, and no advertsNo advertising, no tracking scripts, and nothing to buy inside the app.

The harvest
How much Zambia grew, in the latest year the statistics office has published. Refreshed from the server each time you open it.
Loading the latest figures…
Why this is yearly, not seasonal
FAOSTAT reports production by calendar year, for every country, from the same questionnaire. It is consistent and comparable, and it is what this page uses because it can be fetched automatically without a key.
Zambia’s own farming season figures — the Crop Forecast Survey and the end-of-season report — are more timely and more local, but they are published as documents once a year, so they cannot feed a page automatically. Until the Ministry publishes open data, the honest position is: annual figures here, season figures from the Ministry’s report.
Your account
Keep the book beyond this phone. Phone number and password — nothing else.
What an account adds
- Your book on any phoneSign in on a new handset and the records come with you.
- Free, with an email address and a phone numberNo payment, no renewal — the account is free for good.
- Print and download whenever you likeThe PDF statement and the CSV, without asking twice.
- Nothing to lose to a lost phoneThe server copy is the backup you did not have to remember.
What happens to a book with no account
A guest book is stored only on this phone. After seven days the app will ask you to download it or create an account — it does not delete anything silently, because a season is not something to lose to a timer.
Passwords are stored as a PBKDF2-SHA-256 hash with a random salt; nobody, including the person who runs the site, can read them back.
Dry spell advice

Fill it in the field, export it to Excel or R.

Crop guide
What your crop should look like — and what to write down.
Stage notes are in English for now.
Where every picture comes from — and how it was checked
No generated imagery is used anywhere in this guide. Every crop photograph below is a real photograph, checked file by file against its source page on 21 October 2026. Where a photograph shows a neighbouring stage rather than the exact one, its caption says what is actually visible.
- Source pageEach file is linked to the archive page it came from, so the reader can open it and compare.
- LicenceCC0, public domain, CC BY or CC BY-SA only. The photographer and licence are printed under the image.
- Camera recordWhere the archive publishes camera EXIF, the model is printed under the credit. Two older uploads have had their camera data stripped by the uploading phone; they are marked as such rather than presented as verified.
- No synthesisNo image was generated, upscaled, retouched or composited. The only processing is a resize for mobile data.
The register — all 15 stage photographs
- DrawingsDrawn for CS AgriHub and labelled Drawing. A drawing is never presented as a photograph.
- Stage descriptionsPublished extension and agronomy sources for maize (leaf-collar system), soya, cotton and groundnut. Where a day range comes from another country's conditions, the card says so.
- Agro-ecological boundariesMinistry of Agriculture, Republic of Zambia (2002), published through the FAO Global Agro-Ecological Zones programme. Point-in-polygon, on the phone, with no network.
